Wings on Earth

A Blossom Faith Foundation & Colibríes School Program

Purpose

“Wings on Earth” seeks to restore holistic well-being for individuals facing emotional, cognitive, or physical challenges by fostering connection with nature and oneself. The horse—noble and sensitive—acts as a mirror of the soul and a bridge between body and emotion, enabling an authentic and transformative healing process.

Program Objectives
  • Strengthen emotional and mental health, especially for individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and autism.

  • Improve coordination, balance, and posture through the neuromotor stimulation produced by the horse’s natural movement.

  • Encourage self-esteem, empathy, and communication, creating a space of mutual trust and respect among participant, horse, and therapist.

  • Promote inclusion and social integration, allowing children and adults to share experiences of cooperation and achievement.

  • Foster spiritual connection with nature, reminding us that love, faith, and patience are paths toward wholeness.

General Description

The “Wings on Earth” program was born from a partnership between Blossom Faith Foundation and Yudit Pinedo de Sánchez, director of Colibríes School, with the purpose of providing a space for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing through equine-assisted therapy.
Every Sunday, in the peaceful surroundings of Loan Mountain Park, horses Rayo and Grano de Oro become guides and companions in a profound therapeutic journey, where the connection between human and animal awakens trust, empathy, and inner balance.

Usefulness and Benefits

Equine therapy, also known as hippotherapy or equine-assisted therapy, provides a unique and effective therapeutic approach:

  • Physically, the horse’s rhythmic movement mimics the human walking pattern, stimulating the nervous system and improving muscle tone and coordination.

  • Emotionally, contact with the horse promotes calmness, self-regulation, and a sense of safety.

  • Socially, teamwork and interaction with the animals encourage communication, cooperation, and empathy.

  • Spiritually, the silent bond with the horse opens doors to introspection, gratitude, and soul healing.

“Wings on Earth” is more than a therapeutic program—it is a mission of love and hope. We invite businesses, families, and volunteers to join as sponsors or partners to help us continue offering these sessions to children, youth, and adults in need.
Every contribution, big or small, helps more hearts find healing—and more wings rise once again upon the earth.
